Leeanne's August YOJ Piece.

Well I had a bit of fun with this piece all to typical though for this era, so I had to put my touch on it. I was born in the mid sixties so focused on the later part.
I used an belt buckle, cut one side of the centre bar and bent it into shape. Then I wired around it with some size 6 hex beads in my fav colorway. In the centre I cut up some long twisted silver bugles and wired into place, then just some silver belcher chain. Enjoy, its look fab on :D.

My VERY LATE July YOJ Piece.

Leeanne Here:- This peice is called "Burning Sands", I will explain :D.
This is not my original piece for July's Yoj Theme, Precious, I ran out of beads, waaaa!!!
I intended doing an elaborate piece but alas big idea, lots of work not enough beads and no time.
So I came up with this piece, The Focal Pendant Bead is one of Deb's amazing beads and is actually called "Burning Sands", so why change a good thing. I used a mix of czech crystals, glass pearls, long gold bugles etc to blend with what Deb has created in her bead, many thanks Deb.

Jen's YOJ the 1960's.

Decided to dump the medallion idea and went with the flower power theme.

Very little activity here..........

I've now set up my own blog and pop in here from time to time, but I see it hasn't changed much since last time I did! Anyway hurry up, I'm dying to see the bead swap pieces. This morning in beautiful Blenheim it's pouring! Perhaps I'll be visiting the 1960's, I've tried twice this week and no luck. Anyone like Cliff Richard?

Jens YOJ (Precious)

Well done Amanda, love both pieces. Finally getting back to beading after a few days of 'domestic stuff' mainly outside, house cleaning and garden tidy. Am absolutely stuffed so looking forward to a few days of sitting quietly at my new desk and creating, hopefully! Mean time here's 'my precious', I can even say it in a gollum voice (LOTR). When I picked this button out of my stash I actually said 'well hello my little precious', and a star was born! Oh cut the crap Jen, here she is.

My July YOJ piece (abit late!)

Sorry guys - been manic of late! Just realised that I forgot to post my July "Precious" YOJ piece, so here it is :) It's a piece of aluminium that I stamped, then drilled and attached a Chalcedony teardrop to. Quite simple, but I like it.

The theme for August's YOJ is "1960's" too - which should be fun! Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with for that!

And we have 4 entries completed so far for the Bead Swap. A few more to go till I can do the Big Reveal :)

Finally, I've had this gorgeous emerald for about a year now, too scared to use it! But it's my favourite stone, so I decided to keep it...only I couldn't decide what I wanted to do with it...! The other day I peyoted around it and now wear it as a pendant : ) I'm not 100% sure that this is how it will stay as I now envision it in a wire setting...so we'll see...!!

Hope everyone is well.
